No amount of PR will count in court – Patrick Doyle backs Eezeetee in Mercy Chinwo legal battle

The ongoing legal dispute between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former record label boss, Ezekiel ThankGod a.k.a Eezeetee, has taken a new turn as veteran Nollywood actor Patrick Doyle weighs in, strongly criticizing Chinwo’s actions.
Doyle did not mince words, stating that the singer’s handling of the situation has been a “big blot on Christian ethics” and accused her of resorting to manipulative tactics to paint Eezeetee in a bad light.
“The shenanigans of Mercy Chinwo in the instant matter with her erstwhile record label boss is a big blot on Christian ethics. Her actions in the affair portray her as a vile and manipulative person bent on doing whatever to achieve her less-than-noble intent,” he stated.
The dispute, which has been playing out both in court and on social media, centers on claims by Chinwo that Eezeetee tricked her into signing a contract in 2017 but later replaced it with another one in 2019 without giving her a copy.
She has also accused him of financial misappropriation, particularly regarding earnings from streaming platforms.
What started as a contractual disagreement has since spiralled into a full-blown public feud. Chinwo recently posted a video alleging that Eezeetee was behind rumours spread by bloggers that fellow gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey fathered her child.
This dramatic twist only intensified the controversy, drawing mixed reactions from fans and industry insiders.
Doyle, however, insists that no amount of public relations damage control will sway the court’s decision.
“To top it all, she and her handlers have embarked on a PR blitz aimed at bolstering her besmudged image and destroying the reputation of her former record label boss.
She and her cohorts need to know that when a matter like this becomes an issue of litigation, no amount of PR will count in the court of law,” he argued.
Urging Eezeetee to remain steadfast, Doyle expressed confidence in his eventual vindication.
“I urge the record label boss to stay the litigation course because his eventual vindication is sure,” he added.
