You can shoot a skit for 3 months without getting a dime

Ghanaian comedian, Waris born Abdul Waris Umaru has disclosed the difficulty in making money from creating content as a skit-maker.

He said without investments and constant funding, they sometimes don’t get a dime from skits even after uploading the content on social media.

“It’s not easy to make money from skits-making because you need to do a lot of investments and if you don’t push in funds you won’t get money,” he stated on Property FM in Cape Coast.

“Besides, it is not always the case that you make money from skits because sometimes you can shoot a skit for 3 months without getting a dime from it.

“It’s not easy but by the grace of God when you work hard and become popular then you start making some money from skits but it doesn’t apply to everyone,” he remarked as reported by MyNewsGh.com

“But I have always said that those supporting us over the years have been really helpful because doing comedy skits isn’t an easy thing to do especially in Ghana,” he answered.
