Dampare saw himself more of a celebrity than a police officer—Shatta Wale
Shatta Wale has lashed out at the former Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, for his love for social media rather than policing work.
According to him, Dampare saw himself as a celebrity more than a man put in power to enforce the laws of Ghana.
To him, his removal is a testament to God’s divine intervention and a blessing to the police fraternity.
Shatta Wale made this comment in a livestream on social media on the back of the recent arrest of a doom prophet who prophesied his death.
“This is the first time…Shoutout to IGP, everything you’ve put in place if its is going to benefit the citizens, we like it. If it were the former IGP, he wouldn’t have heard the Pastor’s doom prophecy about me, but I come live and talk he will hear about it because he’s a Facebooker. I’ve not seen an IGP who likes social media than the former IGP. An IGP who saw himself as a celebrity. God has disgraced all of you. If I were your son would you allow people treat me that way?”
