Akosua Serwaa deserted Lumba in his difficult time of need—Lumba’s Lawyers
Lawyers for the late Daddy Lumba have disclosed that his first wife Akosua Serwaa abandoned him in his trying times.
According to the lawyers, Akosua Serwaa refused to relocate to Ghana some 15 years ago when Daddy Lumba came back to the country to seek medical care.
To the Lawyers, the decision not to relocate with her then-husband is seen as deserting him in his difficult time of need.
Apart from deserting him, the lawyers explained that Akosua Serwaa also wrote to Daddy Lumba of her intentions to initiate a divorce; citing several allegations which were denied by Daddy Lumba.
Considering the cumbersome nature of divorce in courts, considering the fact that their marriage was an Ordinance Marriage, Akosua Serwaa decided to present Daddy Lumba’s family with his drinks, a gesture that saw the end of their marriage.
The lawyers used the opportunity to remind Akosua Serwaa that she has no rights to the remains of the late musician, adding that the family decides what they will do with the funeral arrangements of their deceased.
They called for an amicable solution to the issues to prevent Lumba from shame.
