I sponsored Regina’s brother through school, yet he turned against me
Senator Prince Ned Nwoko has publicly addressed recent controversies surrounding his marriage to actress Regina Daniels, shedding light on family tensions and allegations involving her relatives.
In a post shared on social media seen by MyNewsGh, Nwoko accused Regina’s brother, Sammy Daniels, of repeatedly visiting his home and harassing his children and domestic staff.
“These videos show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly coming to my home and harassing my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around,” Nwoko wrote. “His visits were often aggressive and disruptive.”
The senator revealed that he had previously supported Sammy financially and educationally. “This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma,” he said.
“I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja, in addition to the house I bought for Regina in Asaba before our marriage.”
Nwoko also claimed to have provided regular financial support to Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, saying, “I have a record of transferring ₦125 million to her alone in the last two years.”
Addressing Regina Daniels’ reported rehabilitation, the senator said medical professionals had advised restricting her contact with certain individuals.
“When Regina started her rehabilitation, there was a clear instruction by the doctors to strictly restrict people, especially her enablers, from having access to her,” he stated.
Nwoko added that the decision followed “troubling changes” he had observed in her behavior, allegedly linked to substance dependence. “She could go for 48 hours without sleeping and eating every two hours,” he alleged.
