Money is a game, and most people are losing
During an appearance on the Wealth on Your Terms Podcast monitored by MyNewsGh, Dr. Wesley Ogude, Group CEO of Springs Wealth Consultant, delivered a blunt assessment of how money works, insisting that wealth creation follows strict, concealed rules unknown to most people.
“Money is a game. I didn’t come to realize it until much later. I wish I knew,” he said.
“According to him, money mirrors every feature of a structured game, winners, losers, rules of play, and scorekeeping. The problem, he argued, is that many enter the game blind.
“If you don’t know the rule, the hope of winning is completely lost,” he added.
Dr. Ogude stressed what he calls the rule of secrecy, claiming that key wealth-building knowledge is intentionally withheld.
“The rules that govern the game are kept secret. How to be wealthy is not taught in school,” he stated, comparing financial systems to companies that guard their trade secrets and restrict internal access.
He also highlighted the law of measurement, which he believes too many people ignore.
“You can’t create wealth and you can’t grow wealth if you don’t measure it. If you don’t know your net worth, how will you know whether you’re getting richer or poorer?”
Dr. Ogude urged listeners to treat wealth with the same precision as professional scorekeeping. “The moment you start keeping the rules, your chance of winning goes up,” he said.
