An Ibadan lawyer wrote me about a pregnancy claim

Davido’s father, Dr. Deji Adeleke has revealed that he first learned about the allegation involving his son’s paternity issue in 2014 through a letter sent to his office.

“I received a DHL package from Ibadan,” he said in a video sighted by MyNewsGh. “Inside were pictures of the child and pictures of my son.”

He said the package also contained a birth certificate that raised questions.

“What caught my attention was that the father’s name was written as Adeleke David,” he stated. “Even the mother’s surname was written as Adeleke.”

Dr. Adeleke said the grandmother of the child also wrote him a letter, explaining her situation.

“She said she was a widow and that her daughter told her Davido was responsible for the pregnancy,” he said.

According to the letter, the woman claimed Davido met her daughter during a visit to Ibadan for a show.

“She said the baby was born on November 19, 2013,” Dr. Adeleke added.

He said the grandmother requested a paternity test but made it clear she was not asking for marriage.

“She only wanted confirmation and responsibility,” he said.

Dr. Adeleke said he immediately called the grandmother. “I told her if the child is my granddaughter, I will welcome her,” he stated.
