God visited me when I was 19
Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has opened up about her long-standing relationship with God, revealing that she felt a strong spiritual calling from a young age.
Speaking during a recent livestream interview, Tonto said her connection to faith began in her teenage years.
“I have always had this calling right from when I was a child. I’m 19. I was going to be a pastor until I just ran away for no reason,” she said.
She explained that even after stepping away from that path, she remained close to the church and continued to grow spiritually.
“I have been in church since I left high school. So I’ve known God intimately. I’ve known God intensely for as long as I was a child,” she stated.
Tonto also reflected on the challenges she has faced in her life and career, describing them as part of her spiritual growth.
“If you watch what has happened in my life, it’s not ordinary. Anybody that may walk my shoes may not have survived,” she said.
According to her, these experiences helped shape her into the person she is today.
“God called me for something. He led me to go through all of these things to come out of the fire brand that I am today,” Tonto added.
She noted that her journey has strengthened her faith and deepened her understanding of her purpose.
