The win against Eleven Wonders is very important – Evans Owusu
Liberty Professionals left back Evans Owusu says the win against Eleven Wonders was very important in their bid to survive in the Ghana Premier League.
The Scientific Soccer lads defeated the Techiman based side by 1-0 away at the Len Clay Stadium to boost their chances of survival.
The win was their second in two games following their 4-0 win over Elmina Sharks at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
“We will thank God for the important victory today, currently the level of seriousness and motivation is beyond measure”.
“It’s sad that we have moved away from Carl Reindorff but our new venue (Sogakope Red Bull Arena) is a wonderful pitch to play on, hopefully, the results will start coming, this is our second win from three matches so far in the second round”
Assessing his performance on personal level, the former Asante Kotoko defender expressed his satisfaction with how he has been able to adopt to his new environment.
” The shift from Kotoko to Liberty hasn’t been easy but I am happy to have settled in quickly, together with my new teammates, we’ll fight to stay afloat in the league”. he told Saharafootball.
Liberty Professionals are 16th on the Ghana Premier League standing with 21 points after 20 games.
