Ghana attacker Joseph Paintsil is optimistic of Ghana’s chances of making it to the next World if the team is able to build a strong sense of togetherness and teamwork.

The Black Stars after securing three consecutive qualifications to the World Mundial missed out on the last edition in Russia in 2018 and are hoping to return to the global showpiece in 2022.

Paintsil, who was unable to honor his call-up for the friendlies against Ivory Coast and Morocco, believes a unifying front can help Ghana achieve its world cup dreams.

“For me, we have good players and a higher chance of qualifying for the World Cup if we do well,” he told Citi TV.

“We have good players and I think we are going to have a good tournament,” he added.

“It all depends on the players and the management, we need to come together and work as a team and go out there to deliver.”

The Black Stars are in Group G of the World Cup qualifiers, where they face South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia.
