Benab FC on the brink of middle League qualification after seeing off Young Chelsea

Benab FC moved to within touching distance to the Ashanti Regional Division two middle League qualification following a 1-0 away win against Young Youth at Kaase.

A second half strike from Mohammed Umar secured a hard fought victory for ‘Everything by God’ side.

The goal was his eighth of the season making him the highest Topscorer in the competition.

The win means Benab FC have 28 point, a point ahead of second place team Jachie Youth with a game to end the season.

Benab FC need a win at home against Ksi Experience in the last game of the season to secure their qualifications to the middle League.

Benab FC established in 2019 have been the surprise package in the competition.

Despite their shaky start in the second round, the side managed by Sterling Sports Africa are making a huge stride to secure Division One League ticket.

Chief Executive Officer of the Club Nuhu Shakib is confident of securing their place in the middle League.

“We know what we have to do and we will make sure we will do exactly that. I’m confident we will complete what we started.”
