2022 World Cup qualifier: Crystal Palace ace Schlupp suffers hamstring injury in Ghana's game against Ethiopia

Crystal Palace midfielder Jeffery Schlupp has suffered a hamstring injury in Ghana’s game against Ethiopia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The 28-year-old, who was one of three late additions to the Black Stars’ team was replaced in the 27th minute by Germany-born midfielder Daniel Kyereh.

The Black Stars are currently leading Ethiopia by 1-0 at the Cape Coast stadium.

He was a conspicuous absentee as Ghana initially announced a 30-man party for the September 3 clash with Ethiopia and the September 6 encounter away to South Africa.

Schlupp, together with Fatawu and Ashie-Quaye made up the second batch of new additions to the team.
