2022 World Cup qualifiers: It will be a disaster if Ghana don’t qualify from Group G- Agyemang Badu
Former Ghana international, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu says it will be a disaster if the Black Stars don’t qualify from Group G in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.
The Stars made a promising start to the qualifiers with a 1-0 win over Ethiopia at the Cape Coast stadium last Friday.
However, they failed to build on that as they lost 1-0 leaders, South Africa courtesy Bongokuhle Hlongwane’s 83rd-minute strike at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.
Ghana are now second on the standings with three points, one point behind Bafana Bafana.
“It will be a disaster if we don’t qualify from our group because none of the countries can be compared to Ghana in terms of individual players, so we don’t have any option than to qualify,” Emmanuel Agyemang Bad told Ahomka Fm/Ocean1 TV.
The Black Stars will in October return to action when the side faces Zimbabwe in a double-header encounter.
The first game will be played at home on October 6 before Ghana travels to Harare for the second meeting on October 10.
