Attacker William Opoku Asiedu joins Hearts of Oak on a two-year deal – Reports
Ghana Premier League champions, Hearts of Oak have signed William Opoku Asiedu, Kickgh.com has reported.
The young forward signed a two year deal with the Phobians.
Opoku Mensah after joining Middlesbrough U23 in 2017 from Division One League outfit Okyeman Planners for a long-term contract has returned to his native country.
The English Championship outfit loaned him out to Estonian top-flight league side FCI Levadia but his contract was abrogated following his poor performance.
Opoku Mensah later moved to India where he featured for several clubs such as Minerva Punjab, Ozone FC, FC Bengaluru United, Bhawanipore FC and BSS Sporting.
His last stint was at Nepal Super League club Butwal Lumbini FC.
Hearts of Oak have already signed Gladson Awako, Enock Asubonteng, Salim Adams, Benjamin Yorke, Isaac Agyenim Boateng, Seidu Suraj, Kofi Kordzi, Yaw Amankwah Baafi and Ushau Abu.
He is expected to bolster Hearts of Oak squad for their Caf Champions League campaign and the upcoming 2021/22 Ghana football season.
