2022 World Cup qualifiers: Andre Ayew elated with Thomas Partey and Kudus Mohammed's return ahead of Zimbabwe showdown

Ghana captain, Andre Ayew beleives the team has been strengthened with the return of Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus.

Partey, who plays for Arsenal and Kudus, who plays for Ajax both missed Black Stars second Group G game against South Africa game staged at the FNB Stadium due to travel restrictions.

With a doubleheader against Zimbabwe this month, the pair are expected to feature in both games.

According to Andre, he is happy with the return of the pair ahead of the game scheduled for today.

“It is very important to have a full squad and for me, they are back and fit from injury is a blessing and they have a chance to play.

“So for Partey and Kudus to be back, I’m very happy and I hope that all the others can come back and join us to play the game,” he added.

Ghana will host Zimbabwe at the Cape Coast Stadium today in the matchday three games before the return game in Harare in three days time.

The Black Stars sit 2nd with three points after two games played.
