Coach Milo predicts beautiful future for Ghana Football
Ghana Coach Milovan Rajevac has predicted a successful future for Ghana Football, if all parties unite in purpose to support his work.
The Serbian was appointed the new Coach for the Senior National Football team last month, and has been tasked to qualify Ghana For the FIFA World Cup 2022 and also win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament which takes place next year.
Rajevac is back for a second stint after leading Ghana to a historic quarter final berth at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. He was also a losing finalist to Egypt with a second string Ghana side at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in 2010.
Coach Milo has been speaking to the Ghana Football Association’s official channel in an exclusive interview where he touched on a variety of issues regarding his work.
In his submissions, the Serbian spoke about the Ghana team he handled back then (2010) and the team he has inherited now.
He said “It’s not easy to compare but definitely the last generation was strong and successful.
“In this generation I can see a lot of talent… Many beautiful talent for the future. So Ghana shouldn’t worry about the future of the Ghanaian football (sic). It’s important to develop them well,” he added.
An optimistic Milivan Rajevac believes the future is bright for Ghana Football but stresses that there are some aspects of the team that needs working on.
In doing that, he’s clamoring for all parties to come together to support the making the Black Stars globally competitive again.
“As I said this is just the beginning. It takes time to set up everything and to correct some things and make Ghana play competitive football at the highest level,” Milo said.
“This is something that is my job. I really have people around me who are dedicated to their work. We all have the same goal. This is the only way we can achieve great success. If we think the same way and know what is our primary target, we can do everything in our power to achieve that together. I am very positive that we are on the right path,” he concluded.
Following his return, Milovan Rajevac has won his first two matches (a double-header against Zimbabwe) and is in pole position to qualify further in the World Cup Qualification process.
He next faces Ethiopia and South Africa next month in a bid to seal the sole qualifying slot in the Group to the final round of qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
