2021/22 Ghana Premier League: Bechem United v Medeama SC matchday 1 report
Bechem United got off to a flyer in the competition following a 4-0 victory over Medeama SC at home.
Goals from Avornyo and Twene ensured a comprehensive victory for the Hunters.
Medeama will be disappointed with the result as they hoped to get an away result.
Emmanuel Avornyo opened the scoring for the hosts in the 24th minute with a well-taken goal.
Francis Twene doubled the advantage for the home team in the 37th minute.
Medeama got a lifeline in the 45th minute after Abdul Karim received a red card. However, Baba Musah also got a red in the same minute, leaving both teams with 10 men each.
In the 70th minute, Avornyo grabbed his brace, making it 3-0. Augustine Okrah made it four in the 92nd minute.
Due to the result, Bechem are on top of the log whilst Medeama are bottom.
