2021/22 Ghana Premier League: Bechem Utd go top of league table after stellar opening day display
Bechem United have taken the lead on the Ghana Premier League table after an outstanding performance on the opening weekend of the 2021/2022 season.
The new Ghanaian top-flight league campaign commenced last Friday when Accra Lions FC drew 1-1 with Elmina Sharks at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Subsequently, on Saturday, Asante Kotoko climbed from behind to record a 3-1 win against Dreams FC on the back of an exciting contest.
With as many as seven games played on Sunday, teams managed to amass points to start off the new season on a bright note.
One of the results that shocked many was Bechem United’s 4-0 win against Medeama SC.
The Hunters played some good football as their dominance paid off after 90 minutes.
With three big points and four goals, Bechem United finished matchday 1 of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season as the leaders on the standings.
