First daughter of the late Ltd Jerry John Rawling, Zenator Rawling has appealed to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to bring back her mother and wife of the late former President, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings to the party.
That she said is because the former first lady is an integral part of the party hence the need for the party to do all it can to bring her back.
Zenator , a Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korley Constituency was speaking at the one year remembrance anniversary for his father and Founder of the NDC, J J Rawlings at the party’s headquarters in Accra.
“I would like to use the opportunity to ask that as we remember the old man, thinking that he ll not pass what he did, let us recognize the fact that we don’t know when our last day would be, let’s make amends with those we have wronged,” Zenator said.
“On this particular occasion, I’d say the thing that nobody wants to say: Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings is an integral part of this party. Let us do what we have to do bring her back”.
Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings quiz NDC
Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, wife of the late J J Rawlings and former First Vice Chairperson of the NDC announce his resignation from the party in 2012, four years after she lost her bid to lead the party as its flag bearer to the late President, Evan Fiifi Atta-Mills.
According to her, her resignations was to enable her begin processes to lead the National Democratic Party(NDP), a party she founded as it flag bearer.
She subsequently, told the media, she would never return to the party because the conviction for which she was a member was no more.
“You join something with conviction. He might have said it with a good heart but you join something with conviction. When those convictions are no more there, what is the point?”
