Adwoa Safo debunks claims of impersonation in Parliament

Madam Sara Adwoa Safo, Member of Parliament (MP), Dome Kwabenya, has debunked claims someone took her place in Parliament, on Tuesday, November 30, during the approval of the 2022 Budget and Economic Statement of the Government.
Speaking on the floor of the House, Madam Adwoa Safo expressed her concerns over the allegation, which according to her were made by Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, in an interview with the Media.
She noted that she wanted to place it on records of the House that as the former Deputy Majority Leader of Parliament, she was present in the House on Tuesday, November 30.
Madam Adwoa Safo, who is also the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, appealed to Mr Ablakwa to withdraw his comments about her impersonation.
“Mr Speaker, and to state categorically that I cannot force Honourable Okudzeto Ablakwa, who is my friend on the other side, to dress the way I want him to dress and that is an insult on womanhood and those making that noise should withdraw”.
