Ex-Kotoko goalie Isaac Amoako wants Hearts of Oak to be patient with underfire coach Samuel Boadu
Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Isaac Amoako has backed underfire Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu to turn things around at the club.
The Phobians has been poor in the 2021/22 league campaign losing one and drawing three in their first four matches they have played.
The reigning Ghana Premier League title winners uninspiring performance continues as Algerian side JS Saoura humiliated them 4-0 to progress to the money zone of the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.
In an interview with Koforidua based Aben FM, Isaac Amoako indicated the former Medeama coach is the right man to lead the Phobians and has urged management to give him the needed support to turn things around in the league.
“I have worked with Samuel Boadu at the U-15 national team so I know what he is capable of doing. Coaching requires time but at the time he joined Hearts of Oak the winning mentality was there so he became successful by winning double”
“But the new season hasn’t been good for him so far but I will urge the fans and management of the team to be patient with him and give him the massive support they gave him last season”
“They should not think about sacking him. Sacking of coaches has been a major problem for most Ghanaian clubs. They should exercise patience and I know with time things will change for the club”
“I think Hearts of Oak is struggling because of hard luck, so they should be supportive with the coach” he said.
