Ghanaian tactician, Yaw Preko has joined Great Olympics as an assistant coach until the end of the 2021/22 football season, footballghana.com can report.

The coach recently became unattached after his short spell at Medeama SC came to an end.

Although many thought he did a fairly good job, the management of the team in Tarkwa decided it was best to bring in a new coach to steer the affairs of the team.

Following talks with Great Olympics, the services of Yaw Preko have been secured to serve as an assistant to club head coach Annor Walker.

For the management of the Wonder Club, a boost for the technical team of Great Olympics at a crucial time in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season is crucial.

The club on Monday defeated Real Tamale United 2-1 to move to second on the Ghana Premier League standings.

The capital-based outfit is just 9 points behind Asante Kotoko and aims to mount a chase in the remainder of the campaign.
