Representing Ghana is an honour; I’m always proud to wear the Black Stars jersey – Joseph Wollacott
England-based goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacott has reiterated that representing Ghana at the senior national team level is an honour for him.
According to him, anytime he wears the Black Stars jersey he feels very proud and hopes he gets to play more for his country.
“It’s an honor to represent the national team and am proud to wear the jersey every time I am called up. It’s a dream come true to play for Ghana. Sometimes I wake up and I think it’s a dream,” Joseph Wollacott told Happy FM on Wednesday evening.
Joseph Wollacott since marking his debut for the Ghana national team has not stopped.
He was part of the Black Stars squad that played at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
He was in post during Ghana’s playoff tie against Nigeria in the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
His heroics helped Ghana’s Black Stars to qualify for the world cup in Qatar ahead of the Super Eagles.
