WAFU-B U-20 Championship: Ghana coach Abdul Karim Zito after Nigeria defeat: ‘We were beaten by a better side’
Ghana u-20 coach Abdul Karim Zito believes his outfit lost to a better side and has therefore promised to make amendments in their game against Burkina Faso to qualify from the group.
The Black Satellites suffered a 2-0 defeat in their first game of the WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations at the GSK Stadium on Sunday evening.
Goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Ahmed Abdullai in each half of the game ensure the Nigerians picks the points at stake.
Speaking after the game, Zito claimed his charges are yet to acclimatized with the whether in Niger after arriving in the country late.
But according to him, the side will amend to qualify from their group.
“We were beaten by a better side; we had the opportunity to score but we couldn’t make it. So, this is how it is, we’ve not tasted how the whether is, we are now going to compose and come back”
“In football, you always have opportunity to make amendments so I am not down hearted, this is not the end, this is the first and we still have a match to play and we will do our best to win that match and then qualify”
