Asantes suffering under Akufo-Addo because they voted foolishly – Oboy Siki
Asantes seem not to be happy about how President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government has totally neglected them.
Most of them believe the region voted massively and has been voting for the NPP since its formation in 1992, it deserves better from the New Patriotic Party(NPP), especially the current administration.
Almost every leader, being political or traditional in the region has complained about the situation.
A few weeks ago, the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and MP for Suame Constituency in the Ashanti Region Hon Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu was hooted at in his constituency over the bad state of roads in the area.
Mr Kusi Boafo, a staunch member of the party in the region has also said he is not going to campaign for the party if he does not feel major developmental projects in the region.
Adding a voice to the issue is ace Kumawood actor Oboy Siki born Nana Ofori Agyemang .
According to him, the people in the Ashanti Region are suffering because they have decided to vote for the NPP no matter the situation without properly assessing the candidate, describing their behavior as foolish.
“When you talk about these things, people do not understand you. We are too foolish. The foolishness on our part is that, we vote one way. If Asantes deny the NPP their votes, this government will be removed”, the actor observed on Ghanaman TV monitored by MyNewsGH.com.
“After voting for them, they cannot boast of anything”, he fumed.
