You were smoking wee instead of promoting Ghana
Presidential Staffer Samuel Bryan Buabeng has descended heavily on singer Kwaw Kese for saying that Ghana does not belong to Ghanaians in the wake of the Meek Mill’s music video scandal that has hit the Presidency.
Kwaw Kese, in a tweet, reminded Ghanaians that Ghana does not belong to them in apparent response to the raging controversy regarding how American rapper Meek Mill had access to do a music video at the seat of Government.
But Samuel Bryan Buabeng, known for his acerbic criticism of opponents of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), accused him of smoking wee when he had the opportunity to market Ghana, ending with an invective in a Ghanaian language.
“When you had an opportunity to promote Ghana, you were more interested in the wee you smoked ! Opro!” He lashed back at Kwaw Kese’s “Ghana is not for Ghanaians, remember that.”
The exchange between the two has generated some discussion on social media. It is unclear want opportunity Kwaw Kese had and blew it by concentrating on wee smoking.
But in 2015, Kwaw Kese, known affectionately as Abodam, was tried for narcotic offences and was sentenced to an imprisonment term of one day and fined GHc1,200 after he had been arrested for smoking publicly in Kumasi in 2014.
