Bono Regional Minister urge discipline ahead of NPP primaries

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Justina Owusu Banahene, has emphasized the critical need for unity and discipline within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the region prepares for parliamentary primaries, stressing the importance of internal cohesion for party success.

Justina Owusu Banahene emphasized the administration’s commitment to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s developmental agenda, especially during the post-COVID-19 recovery phase.

In a press conference held at the Bono Regional Coordinating Council, the Bono Regional Minister underscored the historic nature of the 2024 elections, where both major political parties seek to secure victory for the fifth consecutive time in the 4th Republic.

She acknowledged the need for extraordinary efforts to achieve this feat and emphasized the importance of winning all twelve constituencies in the region.

Highlighting the parliamentary primaries, Hon. Justina Owusu Banahene revealed that elections had already taken place in six orphan constituencies, commending the roles played by party members.

However, due to legal issues, the Sunyani East constituency election is temporarily on hold. She announced a total of 12 contestants in five constituencies, with Dormaa East experiencing a popular acclamation.

The Bono Regional Minister stressed the critical nature of the upcoming parliamentary primaries, linking the success of the NPP in 2024 to the +-conduct of the party members.

She urged regional, constituency, and polling station executives to promote the code of conduct and ensure party discipline, essential for victory in 2024.

Hon. Justina Owusu Banahene addressed the importance of issue-based campaigns, discouraging personality attacks. She emphasized the need for decorum, unity, and hard work to maintain and reclaim parliamentary seats.

The Minister called on party members to propagate the achievements of the NPP in the region, avoiding complacency and intensifying campaigns.
