Here are Ghanaian celebrities we’ve seen in handcuffs .
A country like Ghana has some celebrities that have had issues with the laws of the State.
Most of these celebrities committed offences that were unbailable.
Some of them were jailed, remanded, fined, or cautioned.
One thing that runs through all of them is that they were handcuffed and presented to the public.

1. Medikal
Real name Samuel Adu Frimpong, the rapper was arrested on October 21, 2020, for brandishing a Ruger 9mm pistol on social media.
He was remanded to police custody for five days.
2. Owusu Bempah
Regarded as the Prophet of the Nation and friend to Ghana’s President, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah was arrested a month ago.
He was charged for threatening the life of repented fetish priestess Nana Agradaa.
3. Shatta Wale
Christened Charles Nii Armah Mensah, Shatta Wale has had a clash with the police several times.
The most recent one, he turned himself in to the police after he intentionally staged a prank that he was shot.
He was later arraigned before the court twice before being granted bail.
4. Akuapem Poloo
Rosemond Alade Brown was arrested and jailed for publishing obscene materials on social media when she was stripped naked in the face of her little child.
She was jailed for 90 days but was later granted bail.
5. Funny Face
The comic actor also found himself in the hands of the police on several occasions.
He was arrested last week for allegedly threatening his baby mama and others.
Funny Face has been referred to the psychiatric hospital after which the court will hear his case.
6. Kwaw Kese
Kwaw Kese is another Ghanaian celebrity who was handcuffed.
He was jailed in 2014 for smoking cannabis in public.
7. Bulldog
Real name Lawrence Nana Asiamah, the manager of Shatta Wale has been arrested and handcuffed on many occasions.
His recent arrest followed his statement about the President on live television.
8. Showbwoy
Samuel Safo aka Showboy was jailed in March 2019 for stabbing Shatta Wale’s friend and musician, Junior US.
He is currently serving 6 years in prison in the USA.
9. Daasebre Gyamenah
The late highlife artiste was arrested and jailed in the United Kingdom.
He was jailed for possessing substances suspected to be cocaine when he disembarked from the British Airways flight from Accra.
10. Deeba
Acheampong Deeba was apprehended by the security agencies for defiling his stepdaughter right from the age of 8 until she was 13 years.
He was arrested in Ghana and extradited to the United Kingdom where he is serving a jail term.
11. Gemann Geeman
Geeman was jailed in the 90s after he shot a taxi driver to death.
He enjoyed a presidential pardon and was released in 2009.
12. Nana Agradaa
Nana Agradaa was arrested six months ago over fraud allegations.
13. Afia Schwarzenegger
The loud-mouth actress was arrested in June this year and locked behind bars for hours at the Police Service Headquarters in Accra.
Her arrest was caused by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of P-Mobile, Mr Phillip Brobbey, who had accused her of defamation.
