Matt Davidson is an American professional baseball infielder for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Prior to joining the NPB in 2023, he played in the Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds and Oakland Athletics.
Matt Davidson played high school baseball, where he excelled and received a scholarship to study and play college baseball for the USC Trojans baseball team but instead forfeited college when he was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut with the Diam ondbacks on August 11, 2013.
