‘Holy Kiss’ was part of award package for deserving students – Concern students of St Monica’s College

Some students of the Saint Monica’s College of Education has jumped to the rescue of their Rev. Father following a video of the Man of God kissing female students during a church service .

The group which goes by the name, Concern students of St Monica’s College said the supposed ‘Holy Kiss’ in the videos making rounds in the media space was part of an award package for deserving students of the college.

A statement read by the renowned TV3 NewDay host,Johnnie Beresford Hughes on Tuesday, August 17 and written by concern students of the college to bloggers said deserving students of the school were on Sunday, August 15 honoured by the Revered Father only identified as Father Larbi.

According to the statement, they were awarded with certificates, sum of money and the Holy Kiss, videos of which had since been in the social space courtesy some students at the ceremony.

“On the morning of our Sunday Service( August 15,2021) our school Chaplain honoured deserving students with certificates, sums of money and offered the kisses too”

 “Unfortunately, some persons perceived to be students took videos and jokingly posted them on their status for fun with funny captions. Some supposed bloggers without any inquiry into the situation posted on social media with untrue captions,” the statement added.

The students, who had declared their intention to stand with the Rev, Father in the development and its accompanying criticisms has therefore, urged bloggers to be silent, make proper inquiries and write proper captions for their articles.

“We personally want to officially ask the management of IsomanGhTv who published on the 16th of August, Horrible as Anglican Father kisses a student deep during service and also teachers of Ghana A whole Reverence Father, next time it wouldn’t  be kiss oo and many others to remain  silent, make proper inquiries and write right caption for the post”, they said.

Dear bloggers,

We humbly write to you on the stands of your recent postings this few days concerning our honourable man of God, (Father Larbi).

We stand to fight for justice and what is duly right.On the morning of our Sunday Service (15th of August 2021), our school Chaplain honoured deserving students with certificates, sums of money and offered the kisses too.

Reverend Father caught on tap kissing female students during church service

 An Anglican Rev Father and a Chaplin at the St Monica’s College of Education located at Mampong in the Ashanti region was sighted in a viral video kissing female students.

The students numbering three took turn to be kissed by the Father under the guise of a ‘Holy Kiss’ in a broad day light and in the full glare of other students.

While one did so reluctantly, the remaining two did so willingly and also amidst jubilation and cheers from other students gathered at the service.

The video has since been criticized by many Ghanaian most of whom were disappointed at the development.
