I Normally Sell Them For N80k — Man Who Steals Children Confesses
According to a report by Instablogja, a 35-year-old man known as Sunday Alani has been arrested by Security operatives in Ogun State for allegedly stealing a one-year-old child at Atolashe village in Odeda LGA of the state.
It was gathered that Sunday Alani was nabbed while trying to escape with the child and when asked what he was going to do with the child he said he was going to sell the baby for 80 thousand naira.
The command’s spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement on Friday, February 25, said the suspect was arrested following a distress call received by the policemen attached to Odeda divisional headquarters.
Abimbola Oyeyemi said while the little girl was play ing around in her parent’s compound, Alani the suspect took advantage of the inattentiveness of her mother who was busy frying garri and carried the girl and started running.
“Upon the distress call, the DPO Odeda division, CSP Femi Olabode quickly mobilized his men in conjunction with so safe corps men and moved to the scene. The suspect was chased to the bush where he was arrested and the child rescued from him.
On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, he informed the police that he came to the area with two women who are his accomplices. He explained further that he had previously stolen two children from Egbeda in Lagos and Akute area of Ogun state.
According to him, once he succeeded in st#aling a child, he will hand such child to the two women who will give him the sum of N80k,” Oyeyemi said.
Reacting to this on Instagram, a user identified as liltaste01 wrote; ‘Just see Nigerians.. Jah will punish this man 👨 Selling stollen kid for 80k Haaaa.. Stealing kid 👧 is ur Job FG pls we need immediately Justice for all this bad people in d city 🏙’
