Naana Opoku Agyemang gifts boy whose "Our Day" lists has gone viral latest iPad Pro

The 2020 Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has said she was sending Oswald, a 9-year old boy whose ‘Our Day’ list to his mum has gone viral the latest iPad Pro loaded with educational materials as he had wished.

The former Minister of Education also noted she would pay the young Oswald and his classmate a visit soon.

Prof Opoku Agyemang made known the information on twitter on Friday, July 30 and sighted by GhanaPlus.com.

“Oswald is such a fascinating & intelligent boy. I am absolutely thrilled by his story. I am immediately sending to him the latest iPad Pro fully loaded with educational content just as he wishes. Do have a memorable our day my gem. Will pay you & your class mates a visit soon”, his tweet announcing her gift to the young boy reads.

Oswald “Our Day” list goes viral

Oswald, a pupil of Christ Ambassadors School had been all over social media after his passionate appeal to his mother to provide a list of items he had pencil down  in fulfillment of a commitment to pass his examinations surfaced on social media.

In the letter dated July 29 and titled “Things to bring to Our Day” and written in pencil, Oswald asked that she keeps her end of the bargain by providing his needs, today, Friday, July 30th which happens to be the day of the ‘Our Day’, i.e end of term party.

The aptly detailed by the nine-year-old with the aid of diagrams included biscuits, drinks, and communication of a said waiver by his teacher to allow him to use his iPad device in class, just for the occasion.

The young boy also requested for a big cake for Mrs Appiah, the said teacher who granted him the waiver to use his iPad at school on the day of the “Our Day”.

Oswald began the letter with “Read every tiny note” and ended with a plea “Please don’t disappoint me,”

The letter has since gone viral with all of his wished fulfilled beyond expectations.

Sponsors for Oswald’s Our Day

His mother told JoyFM she had received calls from institutions and individuals who had asked to sponsor her son’s ‘Our Day’ and also make donations to the school he attends.

Pictures and videos of Mrs Appiah’s cake had also been sighted online from some sponsors.

Ghanaian Musician Kidi also requested for details of the school so he can perform at the ‘Our Day’.
