OFORI AMPONSAH’S MANAGEMENT VOWS TO SUE SINGER NANKY
In a video sited on Instagram,one man believed to be part of the management team of highlife legend and singer Ofori Amponsah swore to see to it that singer Nanky is sued for copyright infringement.
Nanky is a fast rising Ghanaian versatile singer known for releases like Hapiness and ‘cassette ‘ft King promise.Born Haruna Buhari,the sultan incorporation record label artist is believed to have copyrighted some parts of the highlife legend and recruited them into his newest single dubbed ‘Cloud 9’.
The video on blogger ‘Ronnie is everywhere’s Instagram page saw the man believed to be a part of Ofori’s management complain bitterly on phone and called the attitude of young acts who choose to sample old musicians works without giving credit as barbaric and “stupid “.He went on to say he would see to it that the issue ends in court so as all proceeds from the song will be rewarded to them.The copyrighted song is Ofori Amponsah’s “koforidua flowers “.
Nanky however has also released a video of the song to that effect and many fans and social media users opined that its only a promotional tactic to help gain traffic for the song.The video can be streamed below;
