“Release Shatta Wale’s phones” – Court orders prosecutor
An Accra Circuit court has today ordered for prosecutors to return the mobile phones of Shatta Wale and three others.
Shatta Wale and his accomplices returned to court on Tuesday, November 9, to continue their legal battle with the law. His accomplices are Gangee, Deportee, and Nana Dope,
The mobile phones of these four persons were taken away from them after they were arrested and remanded.
After the court session today, Shatta Wale and Bulldog, plus the three other accomplices, were captured leaving the court premises. There were probably going for their mobile phones.
As reported by Ghanafuo.com, Shatta Wale was arrested on October 19, 2021, after turning himself in when the police service declared him wanted.
He had allegedly fabricated a story that he had been shot and receiving treatment, which turned out to be a hoax.
When Shatta Wale appeared before the court on October 21, he pleaded not guilty. He pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing panic and fear. His charges also include the publication of false content. He was subsequently remanded into police custody for a week.
On October 26, Shatta Wale was finally granted bail to the tune of Ghc100,000 with two sureties.
The self-acclaimed dancehall king has since produced songs. His new songs highlight the plight of prisoners at the Ankaful medium facility where he spent a week.
In the same development, rapper Medikal also appeared before the court today (November 9, 2021). He appeared for brandishing guns on social media.
He was granted bail together with Shatta Wale after being on remand for a week also.
Shatta Wale and Medikal are to reappear before the court on December 7, 2021, after the judge adjourned the sitting.
