‘Take Proactive Measures To Forestall A Dire Situation’
Renowned Nigerian music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh who is widely known in showbiz as Don Jazzy has sent some words out to the Federal Government headed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Don Jazzy sent out these words via his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Twitter.
In the post, he conceded that just like other economies around the world, the Nigerian economy has been hard-hit by inflationary pressures, however, one thing that the federal government has to do it that they have to take proactive measures to forestall a dire situation adding that Nigerians shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of this.
The post that he made reads;
“Economies across the world have been hard-hit by inflationary pressures in the 1st half. Our policymakers must take proactive measures to forestall a dire situation. Nigerians shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of this. We need to move the needle to avoid a food & energy crisis.”

Some reactions the post got are;
@Just_Paxcal – We’re already facing the food and energy crisis in Nigeria.
Things are expensive in the market (especially food stuffs) and electricity bills are high as f*CK.
@attaller – Our monetary policies are weak. We peg and float the N against the $, we import almost everything, in $ and produce less, we restrict $ for business men, people paying school fees for their children abroad but our politicians can access $ at anytime.
@blue_dragon94 – We’re in a recession. The feds just want to prolong it as much as possible. It won’t reduce the effects. But it’ll give them time to check other viable options. They know that. Stock market traders know that too. The last line is oil price. It just needs to fall, and everything
