We Are Rather Helping The Nation With Our Doom Prophecies- Prophet Nigel Gaisie to Critics
Prophet Nigel Gaisie has told critics that he and other pool of prophets who publicly pronounce death and misfortunes on the public figures in the name of prophecies is rather a step in the right direction.
His pronouncement comes after the newly installed Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare issued a new directive for religious heads to stop these unnecessary prophecies as it creates fear and panic in the wake of Shatta Wale fake gun attack.
Making his point loud and clear with astute journalist Roland Walker of TV3, Prophet Nigel Gaisie dismissed the police assertions that doom prophecies cause more fear and panic in the country, stressing that unemployment and rising cost of living rather create fear and panic.
See excerpt of what he said;
If state apparatus really want to talk about prophecies, if they want us to educate them on prophecy you don’t go and pick the Anglican, respectfully But you pick the prophets like me, Bishop Owusu Bempah, Bishop Salifu Amoako, third generational prophets.
Anybody that says [our prophecies cause fear and panic], I think that person is carnal because the work we are doing is not academic, it is not intellectual, it is spiritual. I have never seen any Ghanaian prophet take a gun and go shoot somebody physically.
We are rather helping the nation, we are the gate watchers. If we are talking about fear and panic, if the Finance Minister comes up and tells me that the government payroll is full that is fear and panic.
