Black Sherif began his career as a dancer and later switched to music while at senior high school.

He released “Cry For Me” in 2019, which didn’t go far as he anticipated. Black Sherif followed up with “Money” in 2020, and that record gave him a stand-in in the music scene.
His breakthrough came in 2021 when he released a freestyle of the “First Sermon” on his Twitter page, which went viral. Sarkodie, Hammer, and many Ghanaian industry players shared the video.

He also secured a nomination in the “Best Artiste/Duo/Group in the African Hip-hop” category with his hit single ‘Second Sermon’ at the 2021 AFRIMA.
