What is Shatta Wale’s net worth?
A lot has been said about Shatta Wale’s sprouting career, despite facing off with the law. But a little is known about what is in his bank account and how much the musician is worth.
Who is Shatta Wale?
Shatta Wale, known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., is a professional music producer and dancehall music performer. Even though he comes from a middle-class family, Shatta Wale grew up on the streets of Nima – a suburb of Accra.
Born on October 17, 1984, at Korle-Gonno, Accra, the singer rose to prominence with his breakthrough single “Moko Hoo” (Bandana from Ghana) featuring Tinny in early 2000. He has since released many monster hits and has carved an enviable niche for himself.
Career
Shatta Wale started from the street, recording and learning beat production all by himself. It was through this learning process that he entered the market.
Even though he has been a strong-will individual and has always yearned for success, his breakthrough came when he captured Tinny – one of the hottest rappers in the early 2000s – for his song “Moko Hoo” (Bandana from Ghana).
He followed up with some hits songs. But he gained his root when he dropped “Dancehall King” and “Shatta City” around 2010.
Today, he is among the Ghanaian artistes with the most hit songs. He is also the only Ghanaian artiste to release more than 100 songs in a calendar year.
Although he has worked with top Jamaican stars, Shatta Wale crossed over in 2019 when Beyoncé featured him. She recruited him for her award-winning soundtrack album, “The Lion King: The Gift” and “Black Is King” visual album.
