13year-old gang rape, left with cutlass wounds by herdsmen at Adzintem , C/R

Vida Essel-LampteyA 13 year-old girl at Adzintem in the Central Region have been reportedly raped by four herdsmen in the area.
The victim and her father were also reported to have been inflicted with cutlass wounds by the herdsmen.
The information was contained in a statement issued by the Ghana Police Service on Friday, August 27 and signed by the Acting Director of Public Affairs, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Kwesi Ofori.
According to the statement, a manhunt for four herdsmen was currently underway and the public would be updated in due cause.
However, a team of clinical psychologist has been deployed to the community to assist the victim, his father and the community to deal with the trauma that may have risen as a result of the development.
