3 students of Daboase SHTS drown in Subri River – Skyy Power FM

Information reaching the desk of skyypowerfm.com indicates that three students from the Daboase Senior High Technical School in the Western Region’s Wassa East District have drowned.
The incident that occurred on Saturday, June 24, 2023, was confirmed to the public by the school’s administration and a few Daboase citizens.
Some school administrators claim that all students took part in a health walk from the new to the old campuses as part of school activities, and they have no idea how the aforementioned occurrence occurred.
Additionally, according to the authorities, one of the students who survived the tragedy came to report the problem, prompting them to summon the Police Service and the Fire Service for assistance in locating the three kids who were still in the river.
According to the Wassa East District Command spokeswoman, the school called in an emergency at their office.
He claims that they received a call reporting the drowning of four pupils who had supposedly gone for a swim in the river, with one surviving and the other three still alive.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Hon. Emmanuel Boakye, requested assistance from the local traditional priests in locating the victims.
Two of the three victims were discovered and rescued from the Subri River with the aid of some local swimmers and the Ghana National Fire Service after the priests’ arrival with their prayers and incantations was delayed by around 30 minutes.
The National Fire Service, Ghana Police Service, and swimmers are still looking for the last person.
