Former President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday, July 8 delegated some members of his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to represent him and, of course, the party at the funeral of the late Nigerian televangelist Temitope Balogun Joshua.
Among members of the delegation were Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who was Mr Mahama’s Education Minister and subsequently his running mate, and Professor Joshua Alabi, who challenged him during NDC’s presidential primaries in 2019 but subsequently his Campaign Coordinator for the following year’s presidential elections
The others were former ministers under Mr Mahama – Elvis Afriyie Ankrah and Madam Sherry Ayittey. The delegation was pictured lined up in Lagos to welcome the casket that carried the mortal remains of the Nigerian world-acclaimed preacher.
The week-long funeral for TB Joshua is expected to be climaxed on Sunday, July 11 at his church, The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), where he will also be buried.
TB Joshua died on the night of Saturday, June 5, exactly a week to his 58th birthday.
The funeral began on Monday, July 5.
