Ayeh & Ayeh Consulting and Environmental Scientists allegedly sack staff for testing positive to COVID-19

Ayeh & Ayeh Consulting and Environmental Scientists, Contractors in charge of construction works at the Northern Apron of the Kotoka International Airport has allegedly dismissed one of its staffs for testing positive to the COVID-19 disease.

The staff, a Civil Engineer, a mother of 2 and bread winner of her family whose identity is yet to be established by GhanaPlus.com shared her predicament with renowned Media Personality and General Manager of the Excellence Broadcasting Network (EIB), Nana Aba Anamoah who in turn shared it on social media.

Narrating her predicament to the broadcaster, the lady noted she had completed all of her medications and also the mandatory quarantine and fit to return to work, however, was still sacked by her employers.

“I am a Civil Engineer by profession; I am so sad right now and feel humiliated. Because I tested positive for COVID-19 and my boss has sacked me from the project site with an official letter. Even to the extent of telling the security personnel at the site gate not to allow me enter. I have done the mandatory quarantine and have finish taken all medications. But I was still sacked,” her story as she narrated”.

Sharing the information, the EIB boss revealed attempt to seek answers from the company had proven futile.

She explained according to the company, they could only speak to the reporter when they had the permission from the Ghana Airport Company to do so.

 Nana Aba wrote “Ayeh & Ayeh Consulting and Environmental Scientists claim Ghana Airport Company Ltd must grant them permission to respond to the reporter’s questions.

She however, urged the public to pray for the mother of two.

“The lady is a mother of 2 and bread winner of her family. Kindly keep her in your prayers. God bless you,” she added.
