Vida Essel-LampteyThe President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be moderate in celebrating the win of the 2020 Presidential elections.
In a message sighted on his Facebook page, the President said wining elections doesn’t warrant any member of the party to be aggressive and disturb the public order and the peace of others.
He again urged them to behave themselves and wait patiently while they count on the country’s electoral body to do its job of announcing the result.
“Dear NPP Supporter, when you win an election, you don’t need to be aggressive. Be of good character and wait for the Electoral Commission to declare. And when you jubilate, be moderate and sensitive to public order and safety” the post read.
