Breaking: Akuapem Poloo granted bail

Vida Essel-LampteyGhanaian actress and social media celebrity, Akuapem Poloo has been granted bail in the sum of GHS80,000 with two sureties following as appeal filed by her lawyers on Tuesday, April, 21,2021.
Additionally, she was to deposit her passport with the court registrar and report to the case investigator every two weeks.
The actress was sentence to 90-days imprisonment on Friday, April 16 after she was convicted on her on plea on Wednesday April 14.
She pleaded guilty to publication of obscene materials and two count of engaging in domestic violence in a case brought before the court by Child Right International, a child right organisation over nude photos she shared of herself and son.
Sharing the information of the actresses release in a twitter post sighted by GhanaPlus.com, the Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Edem Agbana wrote; “Breaking news Akuapem Polo granted bail pending appeal by the High court. She is to deposit her passport. Copied”.
