Effia-Nkwanta Hospital to organise open day tomorrow


The Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital will organise an open day to showcase its service to the Region and court some deeper relationships between the hospital and the public on Thursday, October 26.
The open day, which formed part of Universal Access to health care, is themed: “Breast Cancer Early Detection Saves Lives.”
According to the hospital, this forms part of creating awareness for breast cancer and they will also showcase of the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital Redevelopment plan.
During the 2021 opening day, Dr Nana Esi Gaisie, Chairperson of the Planning Committee said “Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital will only thrive on your patronage as we have added additional and improved on existing services. We are here to interact, get feedback, exchange ideas, which are powerful tools in any change management processes.”
Dr Gaisie said that the desired results would be generated with both stakeholders working together.
During the day of the exams, there will be breast cancer screening and examination, eye screening and examination, dental screening and examination, free O.P.D and consultation, a Short Opening Ceremony, and the showcasing of the Effia-Nkwanta re-development plan.
