According to reports, a senior high school tutor at Effiduase Senior High School committed suicide in the Sekyere East District.
The popularly known Mr Kwame Kodua, a professional teacher, is said to have consumed poison earlier in the morning.
When the family realized what had happened, they hurried him to the Sekyere East government hospital for treatment, but it was too late to get the poison out.
Shortly after being admitted to the hospital, Mr Kwame Kodua’s death was reported by the medical staff. He died, leaving a wife and three young children. His mother and sisters are included.
The mother of the deceased said in an interview with Sekyere East TV that her son did not exhibit any symptoms of despair or anything else that would indicate he was going through a difficult time. Additionally, she claimed Kwame Kodua left no indication of what precipitated the behaviour.
The mother and his other siblings, who also shared their sorrow at the loss, had tears streaming down their faces. He was the only son that cared for her, and now that he was gone, her life was finished, the mother lamented.
