EKMA Health Directorate urges residents to go take Covid-19 vaccines ahead of Christmas

The Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Health Directorate urges residents and its environs to revisit the COVID-19 vaccination centres ahead of the Christmas festivities to complete their vaccination since the virus is still lurking around.

Addressing a media ahead of the COVID-19 NID vaccination campaign towards the Christmas festivity, Municipal Health Director for EKMA, Mrs Joyce Bagina Sadaland indicated that the objective of the exercise is to curtail the spread of Covid-19 and further outbreaks in the country during the Christmas festivities and even beyond.

The Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Health Directorate is expected to vaccinate about 18,704 residents for the Covid-19 NID vaccination campaign scheduled for 14th – 18th December 2022.

She urged the general public to eschew negative perceptions about the Covid-19 vaccine and trust that the Ghana Health Service will not put their health in harm’s way because “your health is our concern”, she stressed.
