The Deputy National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Elvis Banoemuleng Botah has likened the nature of the people of the United State of America to popular Ghanaian folklore Ananse story character , Kweku Ananse.
Speaking on Good Morning Africa on Pan African TV on Thursday, March 17 monitored by GhanaPlus.com, he said every story told about Kweku Ananse is a true reflection of the people of America.
“They can pursue their right to hegemony through very constructive international engagement not through this Ananse tricks. This spider trick, every story you have read about Kweku Ananse just reflect well on America and you will realized that every Kweku Ananse story is actually about the nature and being of the American people”.
Mr Botah made the comment while contributing to discussions on the Russia-Ukraine war and its implications on products and service would wide including fuel price.
Blame America for fuel price hikes – Elvis Botah
He noted price hikes on petroleum products and in effect on other products and services cannot be blamed on the Russia-Ukraine war but America who imposed sanctions on Russia for merely fighting for his territorial integrity.
He was of the view, it would be unfair for Russia to gladly supply the world with its own resources while they have been denied essentials including medications from other part of the world.
“…..So you see this I know it all attitude and I am the master of creation and apart from God there is no other than me so today if US at one point force Russia to part out their nuclear power from Cuba in the name of its being of proximal threat to the safety of America, what is the interest of America in the vast majority of Eastern European countries, a former Soviet Union state that they have now brought to NATO and the final assault is to now bring Ukraine also into NATO as a means of undermining the safety and territorial integrity of Russia and you think Russia people should be stupid, they should keep quiet. They shouldn’t quiet,” Mr Elvis Botah said.
“There is always a reaction to every action, it is a fundamental law of motion in physics so US should not think that they do the things they do and expert other countries for example Russia with whom they have a long standing period of sustained military tension with to shut up and sit down, it doesn’t happen that way”.
“So the problem with the price hikes of good cannot be at the instance of Russia not when you same United State o f America and the EU have imposed unnecessary economic sanctions on them . You have cut off the sending of luxury goods and in some cases medicinal product to Russia and you think that Russia should open its doors and its windows to keep on sending what they have to the rest of the world,” Mr Elvis Botah added.
Russia-Ukraine war
Russia, for nearly a month now has been on Ukraine attacking it major cities and establishment in a war that have been widely condemned by the world.
Millions of people from the Eastern Europe country, the second- largest by area after Russia have been rendered homeless causing them to flee the country for safety in nearby countries. Dozens have also died.
