A leading Member of the New Patriotic Party and Founder of the Dankwa Institute, Mr Gabby Otchere Darko has congratulated the Founder and Chief Executive of Officer of Engineers and Planners, Mr Ibrahim Mahama for establishing of a cement factory in the country.
Mr Mahama, a brother of Ghana’s former President, John Dramini Mahama has been in the news since Monday, May 10, after the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Alan Kyeremanteng paid a working visit to his Dzata Cement Limited, an over 100 million-dollar cement factory located near the Tema Port.
The visit was to ascertain first-hand information on the cement-producing plant and the progress of work so far on the 20 bags per minute production lines manned by Ghanaians.
Commenting on the news in a twitter post sighted by GhanaPlus.com, Mr Otchere Darko wrote “Congratulations to Ibrahim Mahama on #DzataCement. You believed in it, you worked at it! We must support our own to succeed. The fight is not among ourselves as Ghanaians but how we succeed in an ever-integrating Africa in an unforgiving competitive world of producers vs others”.
He shared the comment together with pictures of the Dzata Cement expected to be sold at a cheaper price than existing ones on the market.
