Galamsey accusation against Regional Minister, Mireku Duker are false
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality, Mr Benjamin Kesse says the allegation that has been labelled against himself, the Western Regional Minister and Tarkwa-Nsuaem MP are false.

The MCE speaking on Skyy Power 93.5FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show on Tuesday, October 11, responded to allegations by the Dompim-Pepesa Chief Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV, accusing the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, Deputy Lands Minister George Mireku Duker, and himself are behind illegal mining in the area.
According to Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV, he has incontrovertible evidence of their involvement in the activity in the area.
As a result, he has dared them to sue him if they believe he is damaging their reputation without proof of an interview on Joy News.
Mr Kesse said, “Whoever that is making the allegation has an agenda to achieve or get to a destination known to the person himself.”
“There is no truth in it, I have never engaged in galamsey and I don’t think the Regional Minister, and Deputy Lands Minister are involved in galamsey.”
“I am sure you know the issues in Dompim and the background of the whole chieftaincy issues and that has caused Nana Nyonwah Panyin IV to make these wild allegations.”
